Today, I'm feeling quite down since my parents had left for home.
I had a really great time with them so I thank you for that.
I am blessed.

I need to learn about letting go and moving on because it seems as if I live in fear everyday of one day, not being able to see all of my loved ones, one by one.

I am 35 years old and all of them, my entire family, have spoiled me silly and make me feel as if I am 5 years old always.

Please guide me in learning. Please guide me back to the path of unwavering faith.

Dearest LB & GY,

I would like to say my prayer of Thanks again.

Though before that, I think I need some guidance. I am living with perpetual fear of losing my loved ones and I am finding it very difficult to deal with. Some moments, it's ok and at other times, it seems to overwhelm me. Of course, I practise switching channels. But it is almost as if I am living in fear. Please guide me.

I am however Thankful for a great 16 days with my parents. I am sad that they will be leaving this Thursday and whilst I wish that they could extend their stay, it would be rather selfish of me cos they would be rather bored and hot. But nevertheless, thank you for this wonderful memory and experience.

I am thankful that I am such a privileged child. I have abundance in life. I have abundance in love from family, friends, husband. I have abundance of opportunities. I have abundance of great experiences. I have abundance of wealth, food, clothes, shelter. I have comfort and luxury. I know I am a lucky and blessed child. I am very, very thankful for this indeed.

I am thankful for this opportunity for both my husband and I to be here in YG and to be granted the opportunity to experience a new country, new culture, new experience. I will make full use of it. Thank you indeed.

I am thankful that I am in a privileged position to help others who are less privileged than I am. Although I can see that my faith is wavering and I just feel a little lost these days. I am not sure if it's because I am not feeling well or what it could be, but I don't seem to have the mood or heart to do things. It's bad. Please guide me back on to the right path. I need it.

As I pray and wait for your guidance in restoring and helping me onto the path of unwavering faith, and since my prayers are a lot in advance, I'd like to say my prayer of Thanks today.

Before that, I pray that my parents have a safe, memorable and enjoyable trip to NSB and hopefully, they are able to extend their stay in YG too.

I pray that my Por Por's soul is reunited with Kung Kung and may the both of them have eternal peace.

I guess, I am thankful in a way for the opportunity to have known my Por Por and in fact, had the opportunity to know the love of 4 grandparents. I am lucky in that manner. And that I do have a very good bond with all of them. Thank you for that.

I am thankful for being such a privileged kid with so much great abundances in my life. I have money, I have food, I have clothes. I am blessed. Thank you.

I am thankful for all the love in this world that I am constantly enveloped in. I am thankful and blessed to know the love of my family, my entire family and all my loved ones. I've been doted over and I am truly blessed indeed. Very lucky child. Thank you.

I am excited and thankful that my parents are visiting. I hope they will have an awesome trip here in YG and a safe one too.

I am still trying to figure out and understand about facing the loss of my Por Por. No doubt, with work distractions, family coming, etc... had helped in the healing of it. But it doesn't stop me from thinking that Por Por is no longer around for me to see. And that is one of the saddest part. Another sadder issue is I do not know how happy she is with her life, was..... and she was all alone when she departed.

Nevertheless, I will come to terms with those, with your blessings and guidance.

Dearest LB & GY,

I am unsure whether people say Grandma is in a better place, Grandma has lived a full life, Grandma is united with Grandpa - to just make ourselves feel better. On one hand, it makes sense. She had suffered for the last 10 years or more, I can't even remember.... and she had been lonely. And thus, as she passes on peacefully, she is in a better place.

I want to believe it too. Because it pains me to know that all these years, she had suffered in loneliness. I don't know what happened. I really regret not spending more time with her. I didn't know that the last time I spent an afternoon with her, taking photos and videos, would be my last ... I thought when I said my prayers for all of my family, loved ones and friends to live long and prosperous lives, it'd be true.

I don't deal with losses very well. I get very attached, and I know in Buddhism, it tells us, teach us not to get too attached to things because all things are never permanent.

I am pained by the fact that no family was with her at the time she passes on.
I am pained by the fact that .... there will be no more conversations with her.
But I never had much conversations with her - for the last ten years and maybe more. I really cannot even remember what happened and how I grew ... apart from her. There are stuff that I wanted to do with her - I wanted to take her to Colmare, I wanted to take her on the train ride.... but I know these are things that will stress my Mom out and.... of course, I am not blaming anyone. This is but my own regret. I should've done it.

I want to know if me believing that she is in a better place, that she is united with Grandpa and will be happy hereon..... is just to make myself feel better?

I hate knowing that I can no longer see her face. I want to know if she had been happy. If she had lived a full life. I want to know how she really felt. My Mom said she cried, as in there were tears while she was unconscious. I want to know if she was sad, or scared? She was ready to let go?

That's three grandparents whom I have failed to be by their side at their last moments. I can't take it very well. Because what everyone tells me from thereon, I know is only to make me feel better.

There must be a whole chapter in your teachings that I have failed to understand as yet.
Why do we need to deal with losses of loved ones? Why do we need to deal with the pain?

I feel a little down because it's not easy to deal with this for me.
I can't even try to begin piecing together how I feel. I just feel very emotional.
If you asked me, do I miss her - I think yes, I do. I want to be able to see her one more time.
We always ask for that one more time, only when it is too late.

I need your guidance, in helping me work out this part of life. This,.... this dealing with loss of a loved one. That it was unimaginable for me to now face the fact that ..... Por Por is no longer around. It appears to be a great relief for everyone - especially on my Mom. Not that she is evil, but I know she is very tired. It is only for my own selfish benefits that I wanted Por Por to be around forever. And I really thought she would be.

I am at fault for taking that for granted.

I feel so scared, so scared now at losing my loved ones. That I simply cannot grasp the fact that nothing is permanent. That we have to accept and deal with this. If there is a book or a chapter that I can look up, read and study, please guide me towards it. As I need it.

I pray anyway, for Por Por's soul to rest in peace and to find the calm, peace and serenity that had eluded her when she was still around. I pray that she is happy finally and is united with Kung Kung and may they gallavant the lands of heavens in a happy-ever-after fashion.

Dearest LB & GY,

I have lots on my mind which I need to share with you. But for now, I would just like to say a prayer for my beloved Por Por.

May her soul rests in peace, may she find the comfort she needs after all the years of suffering from ill-health. May she be reunited with Kung Kung after all these years of being separated. May she be reunited with Kow Fu as well, after losing him all those years. May she find her way to nirvana and be at peace.

I need to find my peace and acceptance as well. I know that. Please guide me.
