Dearest LB & GY,

This is the first time I'm doing this on my new toy. Since its a prayer in advanced, I'd make it brief.

Of course as usual, I'm thankful. Thankful for a life that has been blessed with abundances and privileges. The small and the big. Thankful that all my family and loved ones are blessed with a life that has and will continue treating them well. Thankful for so much love in my life. I am very blessed and lucky. I know that. Thank you.

Please do continue blessing all of them and please bless them with good health and safety and let them all live long and prosperous lives. Thank you.

Please also bless all the poor children with joy, love and kindness in their lives. Do bless me and guide me in my endeavours to help these kids have a better future and a better life. Thank you.

For the last couple of days, I've been rather annoyed by a new client or co-worker on the EC team. I'm not sure if I'm being overly sensitive or defensive, but I'm getting all sorts of negative vibes from her. Even just over the email. Please bless me and guide me and help me gain clarity and wisdom in dealing with this issue. I pray for patience and compassion. Thank you. I mean,I really do not wish to have ill-thoughts. And I really think its just work. Please guide me. Thank you. I know you have blessed me by giving me this great opportunity and I do not wish to throw it away in the name of arrogance or impatience. Please, please do bless me and guide me and help see me through. Thank you.

Dearest LB & GY,

Today, I would like to keep my prayers short and simple.
I've had a little bit of an eye-opening day. I've gone to visit 2 orphanages and their living conditions are very poor.

Is it .... I have some questions. Sometimes, I feel all sorts of guilty simply because, I know these underprivileged kids have not enough food to eat, no bed to sleep on, etc.... and I get to satisfy my hunger pangs whenever I need to, I have nice bed, etc. Especially with food. I even get greedy with it. I have a whole pantry and fridge stocked well with food. Of course, I am extremely thankful. But.... I also feel guilty. How should it be? Should it be like this?

I mean, there is no doubt at all that I feel extremely lucky and blessed for all the privileges I have in my life that is in abundance. There's no end to my gratitude and if at all, I've learnt humility and not to complain about the little things in life. And I think I still do sometimes, though I don't say it out loud and maybe that's cheating, but I'm trying.

I want to say a big prayer to all of these poor children. I pray that they stay strong, positive and I pray that with your blessings and guidance, they will get food, clothes and shelter. I pray for your guidance in helping me in my commitment to help them. Help them in whatever ways and means that I can. I really, sincerely want to help. I cannot imagine how they can live in those conditions. Look at me! I feel ashamed because when I first moved here, I couldn't stand the dirt and the floor and whatever else. And these kids have... not even a proper bed. In Buddhism, we believe this is karma. But these are merely children. So, again I need your guidance here, to understand, why. Why them? Why not me? How can I help? What can I do?

Please LB & GY, help me, guide me, bless me in this journey of mine to help them. And I want to help them sincerely from the bottom of my heart. Please bless me.

I really want to help the kids that FCM had mentioned to me about at the other orphanages. Please bless me and guide me in this endeavour. I am thankful that I lead a very, very privileged life and I would really like to use that privilege to help others. I am thankful for this - for the very fact that I can help and I have the power to help. Please bless me and guide me and allow me to stay true to myself.

I am thankful for so much love in my life. I am really lucky and blessed. I know that. Please continue blessing and guiding me and let me lead a life and run my life with love, kindness and compassion too. Sometimes, I know, I need to be reminded. Remind me, bless me and guide me please.

Dearest LB & GY,

I am again, doing my prayers in advanced. I have a separate prayer for another friend's son who is also diagnosed with ASD. Please bless him with miracles too. As with my other friend's son and all those in need.

Now, for my prayer of Thanks.

I am sincerely Thankful and Grateful for so many things in my life. Mostly that I am so privileged. I have never gone a day where I am hungry, loveless and poor or have had to sleep on the streets. That itself is an absolute privilege and blessings. I am thankful for that. I wish to help (OMG - see, right there, the thought that I pray for others and I'd get something good in return just popped into my head again!! Why? Why does it happen? Does it mean I am no less sincere in wanting to help others??) . As I was saying, I wish to help others who are less privileged.

I am thankful for all the love, opportunities and great experiences. Not many people get a chance to do so. All the opportunities, the new experiences. I am blessed indeed. And of course, all the love that I have. I am truly blessed. Please continue guiding me and let me share all these wisely and abundantly.

I am thankful for both the big things in my life and the small things. And I think it had been great joy and comfort to learn how to be happy with even the simplest of things. I had a really enlightening journey since I started praying and changing my attitude. Please continue blessing me, guiding me and reminding me to stay positive and have unwavering faith always. Dearest LB & GY,

I am very happy that I have fast internet at home now. Yay! Thank you thank you!
I am still not sure about the umm.... non-stop prayers by the monks here over the loudspeakers. I find myself having to stop the negative feelings and will myself to be patient and zen about it. Which is .... I'm not sure. It's ..... not good? Please guide me.

I also have one question - I am not sure why, whenever I wish for something well for someone else, the first thought that comes to my mind afterwards is that I'd be rewarded for it. I don't think, I really don't think that is what my intentions are when I wish someone well. To expect great returns. But I have no idea why that pops into my head. I mean, I do honestly think when I wish or pray for someone, I do so sincerely. Please guide me.

Seeing as this is my advanced prayers, I'd like to do my prayer of thanks again.

For starters, I'd like to say Thank You for a wonderful celebration on my 35th Birthday. It was simply put - awesome and I was genuinely happy. Thank you for the blessings.

Of course, I'm thankful for the job that I've been blessed with in CM and now with EC. Please continue guiding me and blessing me and let everything go smoothly for me. Thank you.

I am certainly thankful for all the love I have which envelopes me and surrounds me. I am privileged to know and to feel these love. From my family, my husband, my loved ones, my friends. Even from strangers, for their kindness towards me. I am blessed indeed. Thank you for that. Please continue blessing, guiding and reminding me to always, always rule with kindness and compassion. Dearest LB & GY,

I have a .... not very good confession to make. Something I'm not quite understanding of.
I mean, I need some guidance.

Yesterday, the local temple here held some prayers and it went on all day and all night long and it was non-stop. Whilst I was ok with it during the day, it was the sleeping hours that kinda got to me and I found myself thinking - how inconsiderate it is to do so. Is it wrong for me to think that when the prayers are meant to be good? Ok, I may not know what the prayers mean, but I take it they mean well as all prayers are. I am not so sure and I do feel guilty for thinking that. But.... how do you help me understand and remain at peace?

I also just heard my friend's father passed away today, on her birthday. I pray for your blessings in helping her stay strong through this period. Thank you.
